Jurisdiction: EU (GDPR, AI Act) & Bangladesh (Cyber Security Act 2023, Personal Data Protection Act 2026)

1.Age Restriction & Eligibility

• You must be at least 14 years old to register and use this service. By logging in via Google OAuth or Gmail OTP, you represent that you meet this legal age requirement.
• Minors between 14 and 18 are strongly advised to seek guardian consent before using the platform.

2.Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transparency

• In compliance with the EU AI Act, you will be explicitly notified via an "AI Label" whenever you are interacting with our AI chatbot instead of a human volunteer.

3.Anonymity & Identity

• Peer-to-peer communication relies exclusively on automatically generated anonymous usernames and avatars.
• Any attempt to extract or share Personally Identifiable Information (PII) during sessions is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
• Registered professionals operate under their real identities to facilitate legitimate appointment bookings.

4.Moderation & Server-Side Recording

• No Local Downloads: Users and volunteers cannot download or save audio calls to their personal devices.
• Violation Reporting: If a user or volunteer encounters hate speech, misbehavior, or violations of these terms, they may trigger a recording. This recording is securely transmitted directly to the platform's Admin team for moderation and is never stored on the user's device. -Both parties will receive an active notification while a session is being recorded for safety purposes.

5.Local Journaling & Sensitive Health Data

• Features such as "Emotional History," mood check-ins, and Character Assessments are strictly for your personal journaling. -This data is secured at the device/user level. Administrators, moderators, and volunteers have zero access to this personal health data.

6.Liability Disclaimer

• SoulConnect is a peer-to-peer listening platform, not a substitute for professional psychiatric, medical, or emergency services. The platform disclaims all intermediary liability for the independent communications between users and volunteers.
